How can we recognize a shape?

Activity 1:

After you watched the video. Read the characteristics in this chart and answer orally: What shape is it?
If you want you can complete it by hand on a separate sheet of paper at home.

Activity: Shapes around me!

Materials:

Instructions:

Part 1:

Draw and cut a triangle, a square, a circle and a rectangle. (Use old newspapers or magazines)
The shapes must be as big as you want.

Part 2:

Ask your parents for help to do this part of the activity.
Record a video on a cellphone in which you and your father or mother can participate.
Start your recording with a greeting: Hello!, Good morning.
Your father or mother will show any of the 4 shapes you already cut, and he/she will ask: WHAT SHAPE IS IT?
You will answer to the question. (Example: It is a square)
Do the same with the 4 shapes you have.
Finally, point to 4 different objects you have at home and tell me 1 characteristic of it.
Example: This ball is a circle, it is round.
Do not forget to say: Goodbye at the end of your recording.
